Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her name was chosen by her parents in honor of the town where she was raised up. Michel Horowitz was her father as well as Cynthia Palmer, his mother are both authors as well as editors. Ryder's mother and father have both been Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. Uria Ryder is her younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. Ryder was born in the United States and moved with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. There wasn't electricity. Ryder became an avid read because they had no television. Ryder, then 12, was enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in the year 1983. In the year she turned 15, Ryder landed her first acting job onscreen, playing Lucas. Ryder suffered bullying in high school. Ryder believed that if she became an actor, her bullying was going to be corrected. Unfortunately that didn't come to pass. Still she continued pursuing her dreams. She got her break through Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder kept playing successful roles in several movies. She was nominated for two Academy Awards one for her performance as a character in The Age of Innocence (1993).
