Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothing but a Number came out in 1994. Aaliyah Dana Haughton was just 15 when the album became Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced this collaboration, and helped to bring the artist up to the top of the charts. In 1996 she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri as well as Timbaland in her sophomore studio album One In A Million, that included the top-selling track If Your Girl Only Knew. After the debut of the album Aaliyah gained international attention for her performance as an R&B performer.
